I named this for the great Rum punch found on Cayman’s Island because after visiting the island on a cruise and tasting the Rum punch, I wanted to duplicate it.
However, without being able to get the recipe I had to do some experimenting and found what I believe to be a great flavor that is close to the taste of the Cayman Island punch.
I usually make this up without alcohol because the entire family likes to drink it as a non-alcoholic refreshing drink. It can stay in the refrigerator for several days without loosing any of its taste.
It is easy to make by following these steps:
Three parts of orange juice
1 and 1/2 parts of pineapple juice.
1 part of Hawiian Punch.
It is easy as that. It should have a rich orange/rust color. Mix it up and serve on ice. Place a level teaspoon of cherry juice on the top and do NOT stir, let it lay on the top for the full flavor. It is great!!
Now if you think I left something out, I did. THE RUM!!! Add Rum to suit your taste to the picture full of punch if you are doing an alcoholic drink. However, if you are keeping the batch non-alcoholic then put ice in a glass, add a shot of rum, (I prefer dark rum with fruit drinks, others prefer light rum, it’s up to your taste), pour in the punch, stir, then add the cherry juice on the top and serve. THIS IS GOOOOOOD! It is actually a much better drink if you add the alcohol to the batch instead of individual drinks.
